Giclee Fine Art Reproduction
A Giclee is a reproduction of an original work of fine art using an ink jet printer to “recreate” the image onto archival quality watercolor paper or canvas. The original can be oil or acrylic on canvas, watercolor, pastels, or other mixed media such as collage or digital fine art. A good Giclee is nearly indistinguishable from the original without very close examination.
- Reproduce your original artwork at high quality without the expense and inventory of making lithographs.
- The process begins by converting the original art into a high-resolution digital file.
- The digital specialist will then manipulate the file to match the original artwork and print a number of proofs until the exact match is achieved.
- At this point the artist is given the opportunity to approve the final proof.
- The final Giclee(s) is made using archival inks and acid-free substrates.
- The artist has the ability to “embellish” the Giclee with their own acrylic brush strokes.
- We archive the images at no extra cost.
